About Bruce
Bruce Ellwein joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in June 2004, following a 20-year career in the United States Air Force. There, he attained the rank of lieutenant colonel and served as commander of the 44th Fighter Squadron and pilot of the F-15 Eagle tactical fighter.

A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with a bachelor of science degree in engineering physics and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a master of science degree in aeronautical science, Bruce holds series 6, 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses plus state life, health and property-and-casualty insurance licenses in Washington. Bruce is a Certified Financial Planner & Trade certificant and a member of the Financial Planning Association.

Understanding that the single most powerful contributor to financial well-being is behavior, Bruce works closely with each client to develop a unique financial plan that reflects their values, address their priorities and supports their goals. Each plan includes recommendations for specific financial products and services to support those goals. And through ongoing planning to address changes in one's financial and personal circumstances, Bruce is ready to assist clients as they pursue their goals through a lifetime financial journey.

Married with two children and one grandchild, Bruce is an avid golfer and enjoys playing guitar. He is active in many community organizations and has served as a local board president for the Financial Planning Association, multiple Rotary clubs and a private Christian school.
