Kari Doorn joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in March 2026. She previously worked for 10 years as a Financial Consultant at other large financial services firms.

Kari has a master's degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University, and a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University . She holds Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in CO.

Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Kari serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. She advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Kari will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals.

In her free time, Kari enjoys, baking, hiking and traveling.
