About John
John DeBusk joined First Command in September 2010, following a 20-year career in the United States Army. There, he served 17 years in the 75th Ranger Regiment and attained the rank of first sergeant. He finished his Army career as an instructor, training future Army lieutenants at the University of West Florida's Army ROTC program. John's awards from Army service include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star medal with one oak leaf cluster and the Meritorious Service medal with three oak leaf clusters. John proudly served his country during numerous deployments, including operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, totaling over 30 months of service.

He holds Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses plus state life and health insurance licenses.

John advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Focusing on each client's unique values and priorities, John offers solutions to help clients pursue their goals for accumulating retirement income, funding their children's education, and providing financial security for their loved ones.
