About Jenny Jo
Jenny Jo Collin joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in October 2025, following a 20-year career in the United States US Navy, where she attained the rank of LCDR. Jenny Jo understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away.
Jenny Jo has a doctorate degree in Physical Chemistry from Michigan State University, a master's degree in Biochemistry from Northern Michigan University Naval War College. She holds Series Series 6, 63, and 65 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in MD, DC, VA, and MI. She is a Certified Military Financial Advisor™ certificant.
Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Jenny Jo serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. Her thorough knowledge of military pay and benefits enables her to advise clients on how to navigate the Blended Retirement System, properly allocate their contributions to the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and take full advantage of other benefits. Jenny Jo will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals.
Active in her community, Jenny Jo is a volunteer for Blue Star Families.
In her free time, Jenny Jo enjoys, baking, bike riding and hiking.
