Kevin Shilling

Kevin Shilling joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in July 2018, following a 27-year career in the United States Navy, where he attained the rank of Commander. Kevin understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away.

Kevin has a bachelor's degree in History from United States Naval Academy, a master's degree in Human Resource Management from New School University and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He holds Series Series 7, 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in NH, ME, MA, VT, RI, CT, NC, MN, AZ, MI, OH.

Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Kevin serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. He advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Kevin will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals.

Active in his community, Kevin is a member of 100 Men Who Care of Southern Maine and the Local Bizness Networking Group.

In his free time, Kevin enjoys, cooking, gardening and spending time with family.
