About George
George Benter joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in May 2013. He previously worked for 30 years as the United States Army at Battalion Command, Executive Officer, Operations Officer, Company Commander, Maintenance Test Pilot, and Platoon Leader.
George has a Master’s degree in Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix, Camp Zama, Japan and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, MO. He holds Series 6, 63 and 65. securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in AL, CA, MO, NM, NY, TX, VA.
Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, George serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. He advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk.
